What is Lose This Ball?

Lose This Ball is a charity project from The MAEday Foundation that spreads awareness and raises funds using golf balls printed with QR codes. Find a golf ball, donate, and intentionally "lose" it on the course. When someone finds it, they scan the QR code to learn about the charity, see that ball’s journey, and keep the chain going.

Our mission

We support research for disabilities — with a specific focus on SynGAP1. By turning a simple golf ball into a traveling call-to-action, we aim to raise funds and awareness that accelerate research and improve lives.

How it works

• Each golf ball has a unique QR code that links to its ball page.
• A human‑readable code is also printed on the ball for manual entry.
• Finders scan the QR or enter the code to view the ball’s history and impact.
• The page encourages a donation and explains how to “lose” the ball again to continue the chain.
